We are created to spend quality time together. Busy but it's got to make it on the calendar. Dates are fun and memorable and keep the love alive. Here are some of our favorites:
FLIRTY FONDUE
Such a fun and cozy home hang out with yummy food and great conversation. What’s your fondue vibe? Cheese fondue, Chocolate fondue, or Broth or Oil fondue. First grab your fondue pot set. Dippin’ ideas for cheese fondue: Cheese: Gruyère, Emmental, Cheddar, or Swiss. Bread: Cubes of crusty bread (french or sourdough). Veggies: Steamed or raw veggies like broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers. Meats: Cold cuts like ham, steak, shrimp, or grilled chicken. Dippin’ ideas for chocolate fondue: Chocolate: Milk, dark, or white. Fruit: Strawberries, banana slices, pineapple, apple wedges. Other treats: Marshmallows, pretzels, cookies, and cake pieces. Dippin’ ideas for oil or broth fondue: Meats: Chicken, beef, shrimp, or even tofu if you’re vegetarian. Veggies: Mushrooms, bell peppers, zucchini. Dipping sauces: Think soy sauce, garlic butter, or ranch. DATE TIME! Making cheese fondue: Grate your cheese. Mix with some white wine, garlic, and a bit of lemon juice. Heat it in fondue pot and stir until melted and smooth. You can also add a little bit of cornstarch to help thicken it. Making chocolate fondue: Melt your chocolate with a little bit of cream over low heat until smooth. You can also add a splash of vanilla extract or a pinch of sea salt for extra flavor. Making oil fondue: Heat the oil (or broth) in your fondue pot until it’s nice and hot but not smoking. For broth, add some herbs or seasoning to give it flavor. Set the mood with a fun decorated candle lit table, turn down the lights, grab a couple tasty drinks, and turn on some chill music. Place your fondue pot in the center of the table and surround it with your dippable items. If you’re doing cheese or chocolate fondue, you’ll need fondue forks. Relax, breath, and enjoy!
